More Halloween fun

On Saturday the base Youth Center put on a Bootastic Carnival.  Lucas loved the bounce houses and slides.

These kids should have traded costumes...Levi was walking around growling, Lucas was running around like a monkey :)

Carving Pumpkins

Sunday afternoon I decided to be brave and carve one of our pumpkins with the boys.  I say be brave because in all the years that we have been married, EVERY year I have asked Brian if we could carve pumpkins and he NEVER has wanted to.  I grew up in a family that NEVER carved pumpkins.  So, I was brave.  I carved my first pumpkin with both my kiddos.  This will definitely be a yearly tradition!  No more being scared to carve pumpkins without Brian helping.

Lucas was afraid to pull out the goop! It was hilarious.  I had to physically put his hand in the pumpkin to take it out.  Levi on the other hand wouldn't stop playing with the seeds :)

Not the greatest, but good for my first one!

Squadron Trunk-or-Treat

This month has been filled with so many fun events! Did I mention that almost everything we did this month was free? The zoo, free (cause we have a season pass). Air Show, free. Hot Air Balloons from my back yard, free. GGYR Pumpkin patch, free. Now a fun trunk-or-treat on base!

Levi's poor hood kept falling in his face.  I promise to get a better picture at one of the Halloween events next week.

 My little monster! :)

Levi was fearless on the slides. He asked to go on them, Brian set him at the top of the playground and he would scoot to different slides and go down them without hesitation

Did I mention that we have a walker? Not full time yet, but today he finally started walking at least 50-70% of the time...

GGYR Pumpkin Patch

Have I mentioned lately that I have the best husband ever? Well I do. Today he was a major trooper! The poor guy worked all night long and then stayed up all day with only a 2 or 3 hour nap so that we could have a fun Saturday.  I love that he is such a family man and sucker for these boys :)

This morning we woke up and headed across town to the Galloping Grace Youth Ranch Pumpkin Patch. Man that's a mouth full! There is the neat organiziation here that does this free Pumpkin patch every year. They survive off of the donations made and by the sale of the pumpkins.
They had bunnnies (Levi wouldn't stop talking to them), Turkies, goats, sheep, horses, ducks, chickens, and probably more that I can't remember

All I could think of was, will this poor guy make it through Thanksgiving?

 Trying to bowl...

The had real ducks watching the duck races.  Lucas could pump that water faster than any of the other kids there I swear! He had a blast with them!

 Corn pit

 What studs :)

14 months!

Where does the time fly?? Levi is 14 months already and getting to be such a big boy!
* on our home scale he was 22lbs
* Still pretty much only says Mama, Dada, Da-ee (can you tell who his favorite is), GGUs, Yeah
* Walks rarely and only when the mood strikes, otherwise still boot-scootin
* LOVES to watch Rio
* Loves to see animals, but only likes it when Gus touches him (other dogs tend to freak him out if they get close)
* Super hilarious! - especially at bedtime
* LOVES his big brother Lucas
* Gives the best hugs, kisses the air, but NEVER actually kisses your face
* likes to try and use forks, but thinks spoons are just meant for making messes
* Still takes two naps and sleeps at night - always puts himself to sleep (and has for at least 8 months) - I lay him down and walk out of the room, and usually not a peep.
* Takes a bottle in the morning still cause he doesn't really like big breakfasts and tends to wake up before Lucas anyway and I am not doing breakfast twice! (Oh and he has been waking up around 5 am - teething? - the past couple of mornings so I give him a bottle then too, to get him to sleep for another hour or two)

What is this silly face about?
I gave him a cookie and this is what I found
He didn't care to eat the cookie.  Just wanted to smash the Reese's Pieces so he could dig out the innards to eat.
Notice the chocolate face? This day was too funny! I call Levi my little Brazilian boy because he loves all things Brazil.  From the music, the movies, to the FOOD.  He loves Esfihas, Pao de Queijo, Arroz e Feijao, Pudim de Leite Condensado, and SONHO DE VALSA. For a kid who isn't super into food, this is a big deal.
So this kid is in love with a Brazilian chocolate called Sonho de Valsa.  It is a favorite among my entire family so it's only fitting that he follow suit.  Anyway, I was cooking in the kitchen and could hear Levi coming to me from the family room, whining all the way.  When he got to me he was holding an empty Sonho de Valsa wrapper that he had found tucked into a couch cushion! (I hid it from him a few days earlier because he spotted it and wanted one, but it was dinner time) He gave it to me and continued to whine until I gave him a new one to eat!
